(1) Officers and members shall be given an amount as per Schedule-1 for each day they participate in a meeting of any house or any committee or sub-committee or a joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament. But if the meeting of the house and the committee is held on the same day, the office bearer and member will get only one day's allowance. Separate allowances will not be given for the meetings of the House and the Committee.

(2) When the session of any House of the Federal Parliament begins, or if there is no meeting of such House or the session of the House, the officer or member who participates in the meeting of any committee or sub-committee before the commencement of the meeting. Allowance will be given at the rate as per sub-section (1) for each day from three days before and three days after the end of the meeting. However, the office bearer or member who is absent at the beginning of the meeting of the House or the committee will only get the allowance from three days before the day of attendance. Officers and members will be given allowances according to section 9 when they return to the area. However, if the area where an officer or member is elected and the area where he/she has permanent residence are different, such allowance will be given when coming from one of the two places.
